My son is working on CVC words, so here come the short vowel Bitty Books! Even though he is just beginning to read a little, he is able to figure out most of the short vowel words on his own. Plus, he and my students just love how tiny the books are! One of my students said she was going to read it to her doll because it looked like a doll book! How cute is that?!
The short vowel Bitty Books are one set from the Bitty Book Bundle. (Click on the picture above to take a look.) Each book is only one page to copy! The student cuts out the pictures at the bottom of the page and matches each picture to the correct word in the book. Then, the student traces and writes each word and cuts the pages out to make each bitty book.
The short vowel set contains 22 cut-and-glue mini books that cover the following word families:
AT, AD, AP, AN, AM, EN, ED, ET, ELL, IN, IP, IT, ICK, INK, ING, OT, OG, OP, OCK, UG, UB,and UT.
